Fuf-ing 101

As a kid back in the 70's we had two bean bag chairs and I recall them being my favorite place to sit. I deal with back pain from an accident and often cannot find a comfortable place to relax so with my past memories in mind, I went on the hunt for a bean bag chair. I'll usually do a bit of research and comparison shopping before I'll spend more than a $100, which I did for this purchase as well. I found that Hayneedle had the best prices and by far the best selection of bean bag chairs anywhere! The prices were hands-down the best on the Internet [...]use my bean bag chair in my upstairs den. I will admit that it was (and is) pretty heavy to move and its much larger than I anticipated a 5 foot bean bag chair to be. It nearly consumes the free floor space in which I'm using it. Upon taking it out of the box, I had to spend a good deal of time breaking up the compacted fuf foam pieces for it to take shape. The fuf foam, to me, is a pro and a con. It's very comfortable but it doesn't move with your body motion like a polystyrene bean bag does. Once you're in the chair your body impression will stay in the chair until you lift it and shake it around, which is no easy task. In retrospect I wish I had ordered a smaller unit for saving some space but at 6' tall, I enjoy that I can actually lay full-body on this bean bag chair. I would definitely refer friends to Hayneedle and to this bean bag chair! Great company, good prices and fast shipping!

When I received the shipment one day late, 6 inches of the top of the bean bag was protruding out of the box. Someone had just put tape over it and didn't bother to pack it back into the box correctly. Though I'm not sure if that was possible. I had to tear the box up just to get the bean bag out of because it was so compact in the box already. If you wish to order this bean bag and be able to sit on it comfortably right out of the box, that won't happen. It comes out of the box like a hard cube. I called the company and they told me it would only take 2 days to open up to normal size. Well, it took 3. And I do find it's a bit lumpy. Would I order this again....probably not.

This product is awesome. I am a little surprised with the package, as I had no idea that a bean bag this big could fit in a box that small, but after I unpacked the beans and pulled it apart and made it more round than box like, it was perfect. so comfy and just as awesome as I expected. I have no idea about ease of cleaning though, as I only got this a few days ago and haven't really had to clean it, but it looks like I can easily remove the cover (I got the one with a liner) and toss it in the laundry.

I bought this for my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. My son-in-law uses for gaming. Very comfortable.

Service and delivery comments:

Customer service called me before the delivery due date to let me know that it would not arrive on time. They gave me the option to cancel the order or take a 10% discount and receive late. Very polite customer service.
