Video Game Chair Care and Maintenance

A video game chair is essentially maintenance-free. Should problems arise with wiring systems, refer to the manual; service should be performed by an authorized person. Also keep in mind:

  • Video game chairs are NOT washable! Water and game chairs do not mix. Spot-cleaning is always suggested.
  • Vinyl and leather are easily punctured by pens, keys, children's toys, and pets' claws; leather and vinyl repair kits are available if an accident occurs.
  • Fray Check (found in sewing notion departments) is a secret weapon for any fabric snags or punctures. Gently push snags back into the fabric and secure with a dot of Fray Check. This product stops runs - drying time is 30 minutes.
  • Small children should be monitored when using a video rocker. It is not a toy, and improper handling can damage the chair's structure and wiring.
  • Do not set video game chairs on cement floors, as damage can be done to the bottom of the chair.

Cleaning Tips
You spend hours in your game chair. There will be spills and dirt spots, but video chair fabrics are durable. Some simple safeguards:

  • Scotchguard fabric video chairs as soon as you bring them home. Treat again as needed; Scotchguard wears off. Spot-treat areas after spot-cleaning.
  • Vinyl chairs are easy-maintenance: wipe clean with a damp cloth.
  • If you have a foam chair with a zip cover, remove the cover before spot-cleaning so cleaners do not soak into the foam interior.
  • Tough stains like ballpoint pen, wine, coffee/tea, and mustard should be removed with mild soap and water, gently rubbing the sponge/cloth in a circular motion. Pat dry; later, brush lightly to restore the fabric's texture.
  • For tougher, set-in stains, dampen a rag with carbonated water. Carbonation in the water will draw out the stain, allowing you to wipe most of it away.
