Gran Turismo, inducted into GameSpot's The Greatest Games of All Time list, sets the player and his automobile against artificially intelligent drivers. In arcade simulation, the player chooses his course and releases additional cars and courses with each win. Simulation mode is played for prizes and money. Money is used to purchase vehicles and necessary maintenance.
